Awesome Library does not endorse this product, but only provides it as an example. 6-01

- Recumbent Bicycles - 2. MR Components Swift for Price, Comfort, Speed, and Safety (MR Components)
Starts at around 900 dollars, weighs 33 pounds, and has a gear range of 18 to 100 inches. (Standardized speed rating is 19.8 mph.) Since the Swift is actually a trike, it will be much more stable than a two-wheel cycle. One reviewer did not like the seat because he thought it required more maintenance than other trike seats. (The review is available at sunsite.anu.edu.au/community/ozhpv/7trikes.htm). This trike rides low, so extra care is needed to ensure that it is visible between cars. For example, a "roll bar" with lights could make the trike visible between cars. Awesome Library does not endorse this product, but only provides it as an example. Sometimes called three-wheel bicycles. 6-01

Awesome Library does not endorse this product, but only provides it as an example. 6-01
- Recumbent Bicycles - 3c. Roadster for Price (Human Powered Vehicles)
Starts at around 1,200 dollars, weighs 32 pounds, and uses 26 inch wheels in front and back. This is a semi-recumbent, with the crank diagonally below the seat and fewer gears than most recumbents. It is designed more for comfort than speed. Awesome Library does not endorse this product, but only provides it as an example. 8-01
- Recumbent Bicycles - 3d. M5 Low Rider Comfort, and Speed (M5 Recumbents and Handbikes)
Starts at around 1,340 US dollars and weighs 29.7 pounds. The M5 Low Rider has won seven speed awards. Also has a selection of fairings to improve speed. - Recumbent Bicycles - 4b. Streetglider for Speed (IHPVA)
Starts at around 1,600 dollars, weighs 27.5 pounds, and has a gear range from 27 - 117 gear inches. (Standardized speed rating is 15.5 mph.) It has a short wheelbase design and a high seat (for a recumbent). Awesome Library does not endorse this product but only provides it as an example. 7-01
- Recumbent Bicycles - 5. Rotator Pursuit for Comfort and Racing Speed (Rotator.com)
Starts at around 1,700 dollars, weighs 31 pounds, and has a gear range of 22 to 144 inches. (Standardized speed rating is 23.4 mph.) Based on specifications, price, and reviews, this bike is a best buy. The gear range and weight should make it one of the fastest production bikes, especially with a windshield or rear fairing (cover). Awesome Library does not endorse this product, but only provides it as an example. 6-01
- Recumbent Bicycles - 6a. BikeE RX for Availability and Comfort (BGI - BikeE RX)

Starts at around 1,950 dollars, weighs 33 pounds (including a built-in windscreen), and has a gear range of 23 to 117 inches. (Standardized speed rating is 18.2 mph.) The gear range, weight, and built-in windscreen should make this one of the fastest production bikes. The Rans Velocity Squared (V2) won the BentRider Online "Bike of the Year" for 2000. It is also the highest rated bike in Roadbiker Review for 2001. Awesome Library does not endorse this product, but only provides it as an example. 6-01
